This stunning shot taken near Petersburg, Alaska popped up on my Facebook feed earlier this week. Isn’t it breathtaking? I live a long, long way from the place I once called home. My chances of seeing mountains like this, especially snow-capped ones, are pretty slim. The float plane taking off just sends my imagination into overdrive, too. Is it a routine flight? A white-knuckle, unpredictable adventure?
