With Memorial Day just ahead, officially kicking off the summer season, it’s time for booknerdigans everywhere to daydream about what we’re going to read. These are books I’ve eagerly anticipated because I’m fond of the author’s work, and/or I’m simply drawn to the cover design because it seems like the perfect book to enjoy at the beach or beside the pool.

10. *Before We Were Yours is probably not a lighthearted read, based on the description, yet Lisa Wingate is a master storyteller and I read everything she writes. I’m sure the ‘weighty’ subject matter will make for an intense reading experience.
